On a sunny and pleasant day, approximately 35 members, their families and friends gathered at the home of Norwood and Kristin for the drawing of
the three raffle prizes. A hearty meal of hotdogs, grilled corn, chili, slaw, salad and the works was enjoyed followed by some of Woody’s homemade
peach ice cream. “Proof is in the pudding” and in that all the dogs, corn, and ice cream were consumed, it appears that no one left with a growling or
hungry tummy,
The raffle drawing was the highlight of the evening. In a hat box provided by Deb Everett, the tickets were stuffed and shaked beyond recognition. The
winning tickets were held by the following persons.
The Organization sold 1,199 tickets and the profit after expenses is $1,632.56. This success is attributed to the following members who participated in
this event by buying and selling raffle tickets from May 2 through June 30th. Thanks are extended to:

The Organization is also indebted to Walmart who contributed a $100 Gift Certificate applied toward the purchase of the Wii, Hudson’s Hardware
who assisted in getting the Holland Grill at cost, and to Holland Grill who sold the grill at cost. A big hand goes out to DEB EVERETT who coordinated
this fund raising event along with the capable assistance of SHARON CASTLEBERRY.
