The "Serve the Need in Johnston County" (STNinJC), Inc. was established by a group of concerned
citizens on November 19, 2008. It was State chartered on February 10, 2009 and qualified on the same
date as a charitable non-profit organization under IRS Regulation 501(c)(3). As such, the Organization
accepts contributions which are tax deductible to the donor. All donations are acknowledged. Our membership shows
all evidence that the Coalition is quickly growing into a large and meaningful organization for Johnston County citizens.
The purpose of the Organization is to serve as many Johnston County citizens with special needs as possible in
their quest to lead a meaningful life, and to educate them about resources available to address their needs so that
they may, in turn, educate others to "Serve the Need".
We consider ourselves as agents of social change as we aim to break down barriers of inequality in
resources and services for Johnston County citizens. We attempt to address these barriers by building bridges
and partnerships with Johnston County churches, civic clubs, organizations, public school and community college
systems, and with public health, mental health and social service agencies.
Our Vision is Clear -- All citizens desire to live a meaningful life and desire to help their fellow citizens achieve a
meaningful life.
Our Values are Simple -- All citizens are created equal and should have the same life opportunities and resources to
achieve a meaningful life.
Our Mission is Pure -- The quality of life for Johnston County citizens can be improved by filling gaps in services and
by assuring that resources are accessible, equally available, and provided to all without regard to gender, race, age,
national origin, sexual orientation or disability.
The STNinJC strives to be the leading non-profit organization in Johnston County helping citizens receive
the services they need. It aims to accomplish this through a spirit of unity and diversification among its membership
